Our popular guided walks are back, running as pre-booked sessions with our knowledgeable tour leaders, every Wednesday to Sunday afternoon from 15th August. These walks begin and end at the Heritage Centre, last just over an hour, and explore the hidden history of the town.
We have put in place measures to ensure your safety by restricting these to a single household or family group (between 3 and 6 people maximum). They are available as pre-booked tours every Wednesday to Sunday afternoon, initially until September 20th, starting at 14.30. Please email us first at info@wirksworthheritagecentre.org to provisionally reserve your date – this will be confirmed with you once you have made payment (you will receive instructions for making this by credit card online). Bookings must be made and paid for at the latest by 17.00 on the previous day, although you can of course book much further ahead. Please note that the walk involves some steeper and uneven pathways, but to ensure physical distancing we will not be going to the very narrowest places. Each place costs £5 per adult and £1 for under 16s (who are not allowed unaccompanied by an adult).
